Our Live-in Care

At Metrolab Care we strongly believe that there is no better place than home, your own home, where you can stay even when you need support. We are here for you so that you can stay close to your family and friends.

Our Live-in Care

By choosing us, your are choosing excellent care at all levels, so your needs are perfectly met, your home is looked after, as well as your pets and garden.

All our live-in carers are highly skilled and experienced. They have gone through rigorous recruitment and training programmes.

We provide a high quality live-in care and support service that’s tailored to the individual needs of our clients and we also make sure that each carer will fit in effortlessly with our client’s home and life situation. We match character and skills, so both parties are happy together.

Metrolab Care live-in service allows you to enjoy an independent life in the comfort of your own home and around those you love the most.

Our Live-in Care Services Include

Cleaning Services and Vacuuming

A clean house always feels welcoming and comfortable. Metrolab carers will be able to carry out all necessary tasks such as: washing dishes, vacuuming both carpeted and wooden flooring, cleaning bathrooms, oven cleaning and dusting, etc.

Laundry and Ironing

Our carers will do your laundry and ironing at your home, as well as any other duties you may need help with.

Pet care

Our carers can help with this task as well, whether by taking your dog on daily walks, emptying your cat’s litter trays, or simply ensuring that your pet is fed and has a fresh bowl of water.

Preparing Meals and Snacks and Support With Eating

Following strict dietary requirements, and personal preferences, is something that all of our carers are trained to do. They will be able to prepare tasty and nutritious meals that suit your own taste as well as cleaning up afterwards too.

Shopping and Running Errands

Metrolab carers know that you might need support which is not just confined to your home. We can go out and about to collect food shopping and other essentials, as well as run errands such as going to the bank or Post Office or picking up prescriptions and medications.

A live-in housekeeper

When you don’t need support throughout the day on an ongoing basis, you may find that a live-in housekeeper suits you better. A fully trained and DBS-checked housekeeper can also stay as a live-in helper in your property and be on-hand whenever you need them.

Carefully matching you with a live-in housekeeper is an important part of the process. When meeting you, we get to know your preferences and the type of person you’re looking for. You’ll even make the final choice from a selection of profiles – and we’re always here if there’s ever any concern.

When your housekeeper needs to take a break, we will take care of this too. We’ll arrange for a suitable relief housekeeper to support you until they return and ensure they are prepped on the daily tasks and how you like things done.

Care Holidays

A taster of live-in care

Our holiday care service shares many similarities with live-in support. Many of our customers use it as trial to see what live in care is like and how it’ll suit them.

With this first-hand experience of having a full-time carer around, individuals can decide whether a more permanent tailored solution is the right one for them.

Bedroom (live-in care only)

You will need to have a spare bedroom for your live-in carer with a bed and furnishings, so that they can live comfortably in your home with you but have a private area of their own. Before your care commences, a local live-in care manager will discuss this with you and double-check that there is an appropriate bedroom for your carer when they visit you in your property.

Live-in Care Hours of Work

A live-in carer usually starts the day around 7am and will continue to help you with all the necessary tasks up until lunch. They will then take 2hrs break and come back to you around tea time. They will assist you during dinner time and after helping you to go to bed, they will have some time in the evening to rest, around 8pm or 9pm.
